Fields Playable?

When it comes to City of Bloomington playing fields, player safety and field maintenance are top priorities. Fields are closed to keep them playable throughout the playing seasons and preserve them from extensive damage. We use the following criteria to determine whether a field should be closed:

• Heavy Rain / Thunderstorm / Tornado Warnings
• Standing water or large muddy areas on the playing surface.
• Damage to the field which makes play unsafe.

You may call our Bloomington Parks & Recreation hotline at (309) 434-2386 to listen to a pre-recorded message after 4:00 pm the day of your program or game.
